Project Summary
A portion of an adjacent closet was incorporated to make room for a new tub/shower and dedicated linen storage, while an expanded vanity and custom laundry cabinetry add valuable storage and workspace. Key features and updates include:
- Reconfigured Layout: The bathroom and laundry areas were reworked for improved function within the existing footprint.
- Expanded Vanity: Additional counter space and storage were added to better serve daily use.
- Custom Laundry Cabinetry: A full-width work surface pairs with dedicated cabinetry for a more usable laundry space.
- New Tub/Shower & Linen Storage: Made possible by incorporating a portion of the adjacent closet.
- Muted Green Cabinetry & Brass Finishes: Warm brass hardware and fixtures complement the soft green cabinetry throughout.
- Classic Tile: Subway tile and patterned mosaic flooring bring period-appropriate character to the finished space.
- Three-Piece Millwork: Designed to complement the character of the 1907 home.
- Reworked Framing: The dropped beam was eliminated to create a continuous ceiling plane.
The result is a warm, cohesive bathroom and laundry space that feels true to the character of the original home while meeting the needs of everyday use.
