Project Summary
Removing the wall that separated the kitchen allowed for an expansive central island with generous workspace, seating, and storage while creating a stronger connection to the adjoining living and dining areas. White oak cabinetry and flooring, soft green finishes, matte quartz, and polished Carrara marble establish a warm, layered palette. Key features and updates include:
- Open Kitchen Layout: Removing the dividing wall opened the kitchen to the surrounding main level and allowed the layout to be completely reimagined.
- Expansive Central Island: Generous seating, workspace, storage, and an integrated induction cooktop make the island central to both cooking and gathering.
- Custom Cabinetry & Storage: White oak and soft green cabinetry combine natural warmth and contrast with purposeful storage tailored to the new layout.
- Arched Beverage Center: Open shelving, integrated lighting, and dedicated cabinetry transform an underused area into a functional and distinctive focal point.
- White Oak Flooring: New flooring extends beyond the kitchen through the living areas and hallway, creating continuity across the main level.
- Updated Millwork & Entry: New hallway millwork and doors, along with updates to the entry and stairs, carry the refreshed character of the kitchen into the surrounding spaces.
The result is a finished main level that feels thoughtfully connected from room to room, blending warmth, function, and refined detail throughout.
